DIY. Decorate Flats Shoes With Embroidery

Stitch by stitch: Decorate ballet shoes with the embroidery

Ballet shoes is one of the most popular kinds of footwear maiden in the spring and summer season and of course they always want to do the unique. And when I saw that a white couple — with a perforated texture, couldn’t resist the purchase.

Look at the texture of these holes closer … See, see? 🙂

Well it’s ready, in fact, canvas! And we all know what to do with it — of course, embroidery!

Can’t say that in its original form Slippers I didn’t like, but the idea really took 🙂

So, first,

come up with or look for a pattern. I, as a fan of geometry, I like simple shapes and lines and not particularly bothered, made in the editor, a skeleton, not so much for the pattern, how much for color matching:

Prepare the strings and get to work 🙂

First thing to do is to bend/peel off the insole from one of the edges of the shoes. If the insole is removed — it is all wonderful, until it can be put aside.

Now it is time to embroidery.

It will be the normal cross. I wanted to get a large textured stitches, so tucked in a needle two thread. We begin a series on the side opposite to that which is peeled off the insole. Stick a needle in Slippers not piercing the lining, only through the outer layer of the skin to(!) internal. This will allow us to avoid the inside seam on the inner side flats.

Extend the thread to the stitches, hold the needle and anchoring the first stitch (just like on the canvas). Half of the first cross there. Inject the needle into the next dot.

And close the cross.

Do the next in the series. And continue to the opposite side of the slipper.

When the range is complete, hold the needle inside the slipper, all the way under the insole.

Cut the thread, make a knot and fix the tip on super glue. In the same way of laying the second row of crosses in a different color. All the other rows.

This is what happened:

Generally speaking, according to their original idea, I wanted to stop, to be limited only by embroidery threads. But it seemed to me that the Slippers look a bit bare and unfinished. And I decided to complement this simple story beads.

The large beads, and I began to embroider every single white square. The thread is better to take longer to embroider zig-zag, not cutting off her through each row. If the thread is still over, then fasten it similar to floss.

Continue to fill the ranks,

I began to do it in a checkerboard pattern.

And finally, stop 🙂

Glue the bent insole in place using the same super glue, or paste in place of the removable insole.
